I read that with version 3 we’re unable to load samples for the samples or granular oscillator types. but what if I have no samples? I load an init patch, osc 1 is lit, I turn the type knob until it shows samples or one of the granular types. I hold shift and turn the type knob and nothing happens. Ok, that doesn’t work. Try the other way–press sound edit and oscillators, the screen changes, the top of the screen shows “Samples” in reverse text (black text on white), underneath–nothing. Turn the preset knob–nothing. Has anyone encountered this?
Hi @abruzzi. Welcome to the community.
Does it work in your software version MiniFreak V?
Did you follow the following procedure?
From the Release notes:
Mini Freak V3.0.0
Important
Make sure to update your MiniFreak V to version 3.0.0 before updating your Firmware
New features
New Sample-based engines: 7 Granular engines and 1 classic Sample engine
I installed the software in order to run the update, so it was the current version. It claims to be 3.0.0.5386
EDIT: it looks like the samples are in the software. (I don’t use the software for anything other than updates, normally.)
I don’t have a hardware MiniFreak. I don’t know if the samples come with the firmware update. Perhaps they need to be uploaded to the hardware from the software?
Unless someone know about this will reply, then i suggest you contact Arturia support through your account.
I got this resolved, thanks for the help.
