I put a new song in my music website called: “What You Sometimes See”. I used some Arturia Jup-8 V4 and Augmented Persia synth, and some non-Arturia synths. Male background vocals: Liam. Female background vocals: C.C. White. Please tell me how you like the music, and how it can be improved, and I will return the favor! If you don’t have a recent thread, leave me a link. Here is my link, it’s the song on top:
Hey @aaron_aardvark
Thanks for posting.
Just having a listen now… intro screams Bowie/Elastica… there’s the Tovey type sound with the doubled and highly effected male vocal…
Female vocal REALLY reminds me of elastica, as does the whole feel of the track actually, the synth part at the end really does reinforce the elasitca vibe too, VERY late 90s/early 2000s sort of ‘britpop’ feel to it.
HTH!
I deeply lack Mat Jones’ rock musical culture, so take what I say with a large grain of salt.
The drum is kept simple. So is the singing. I believe it’s more efficient. I enjoyed the female or higher voicing. Maybe I would try for more melodic guitar riffs.
matjones,
Thank you for listening and commenting! I appreciate it! I love many Bowie songs. I really like multiple Fad Gadget songs, and at least two Elastica songs. If you have any music you want me to review, leave me a link.
francoise,
Thank you for checking out my song and replying! I appreciate it!
No worries! It’s always nice to hear original music, particularly these days.
Please don’t feel obligated to ‘return the favour’, but if you really want, you can find a link to our soundcloud page in my sig, and there are a few things on there…knock yerself out! ![]()
