New Mini Freak update in V collection

Hi,

First, I don’t have V collection 7. I have V collection, just minus a couple recent new instruments, hosted in Analog Lab 5.x (latest, etc) running on a Mac M2.

I wrote Arturia support a few days ago, they pretty uncharacteristically didn’t respond, but it’s the holidays so I thought I’d check here.

I did the update for the software Mini Freak, and was particularly interested in the granular synthesis added. So, opened in Analog Lab/V collection host and… if I choose any Mini Freak patch using it, it just gives me an error that it’s not compatible with my version of Analog Lab. Well, it’s the latest version. If I open it as a stand alone, it works fine.

It’s such a particular issue, I figured it’d be one others have run into as well. I haven’t seen or found anyone else noticing or having this issue, though. Anyone have any ideas or similar?

Thanks

I just checked and I do not have that problem. I know you said that ALV is up to date but I would consider uninstalling and reinstalling it as a first step.

Hi… thank you so much for the advice. I did do that, uninstalled and reinstalled the entire V collection. Still having the issue. I’ll send this to Arturia—they usually are very responsive but I haven’t heard anything back from the support request I sent last week.

Strange. It’s a long shot but can try “Cleaning Prefs” in the ASC for Analog Labs (its found under the down arrow at the bottom of the page), in case they were not deleted during the reinstall.

Other than that - wait for Arturia Im afraid unless anyone else has any suggestions.

Hi all.

Welcome back @mshvan.

I can confirm the issue.

Presets from the Minifreak 3.0 bank give that error messages in the latest Analog Lab.

Also Minifreak 2.0 bank are not shown at all in Analog Lab.

It all works fine in Minifreak V.

I’ve tried on both a Windows 10 and a windows 11 computer.

Rebuilding the db.db3 database file do not help.

It does look like Analog Lab issues.

If you have’nt got a confirmation mail from Arturia suppport, then i suggest you contact them again.

I’m experiencing the exact same thing. Also, the new Mallets instrument doesn’t appear in Analog Lab. Both Mallets and MiniFreak V load fine separately, just not in Analog Lab. Also, the store sometimes disappears, while all or some of my sound banks appear and reappear. Very strange!

Hi @brian1919. Welcome to the community.

Augmented Mallets is new and not yet supported in Analog Lab.

I don’t understand why your sound banks is there on and off. Perhaps you are in the middle of a preset selection, when it happens?

Thank you @LBH. I didn’t realize that.

Hi. I heard from support a couple days ago. They don’t have the Minifreak V update or mallets augmented integrated yet. I wish they’d just mentioned in the release notes, it would have saved probably a lot of people reinstalling, etc. But I figure it’s the holidays, they were getting all of this stuff out and, well, people go on vacation.
