New Keystep mk2 DAW Integration vs Using Standalone with Moogs

Just upgraded from Keystep to the new MKII. I was searching the website for DAW integration for the MKII, similar to the url for the prior Keystep: https://support.arturia.com/hc/en-us/articles/4405748362002-KeyLab-MkII-Tips-Tricks

The url lists MKII but does not appear to show DAW integration settings? I also looked in MIDI control app which did not show similar options as shown in the url.

I was considering using the new MKII for my DAW work and the older Keystep in stand alone with my Moogs. This way I can just work with the Moogs, recording analog into the DAW.

Any thoughts or ‘best use’ cases with the new MKII and studio One is very helpful. Thank you.

I’m going to use the new Keystep mk2 in stand alone with my Moog’s, and just run audio outs into my daw. I can sync tempo from my keystep to match tempo of songs in daw.

Any suggestions on stand alone use for the mk2? I have hardware synths but also wanted to use the JUP8000 software synth.

Thanks.

Hi @SonicDiscovery.

Welcome to the community.

Can’t you see your Keylab MK2 as an option for Recieve and Send when setting up a New Keyboard in Studio One?

Keystep shall be connected to your computer with USB.

Thank you. Yes. I have the send-receive selected ok. I am just not able to use Seq or arp functions from keystep. I feel it is going to be better if I just use the Keystep with my Moog’s only and then I can do al the cool mk2 stuff. I’ll use my older Keystep just a a basic controller for my daw.

Just was not sure the best way to trigger Analog Lab or the JUP 8000 instruments, maybe in stand alone mode, not through daw.
Thank you!

I don’t think i understand.
I don’t have a keystep. But afaik it should send midi notes and other midi messages to the DAW when set up correct.
Then it can play any plugin instruments in the DAW.

True, it does play, just limited function, basic playing the instruments, but not able to implement the Seq and Arp, changes/selections. I feel at this point I am just going to use the older keystep and use the new mk2 separately for the moogs. Thank you for reading my post and helping.

Are you sure that is’nt about some settings in Keystep to make that work? Perhaps in the Midi Control Center?
If not, then i suggest you contact Arturia support through you account.
