New Detronics song/video 'Don't Take It By Yourself' - lots of Arturia presence!

Unlike the last song/video I posted, which was just me messing around, here is the latest ‘official’ Detronics release. It features Arturia’s Augmented Voices, Augmented Strings, Piano, Mellotron and ARP 2600. Also making an appearance are Filter SEM (my favourite!), Chorus Dimension, Flanger BL-20, Bus Force and Comp Diode-609.

I wrote and performed all the music, David Dent wrote and performed the vocals and myself and three musical theatre friends did backing vocals. This is taken from our forthcoming second album.

Bowie fans should recognise a nod to one of my heroes, Mike Garson, at the end

Oh, and much of it was performed on a Keylab 49 MkII

I liked it…which surprised me as its a little off my normal fare - although I do like Bowie and this has his genes. I like the (very) laid back approach. My only critique is that the main vocal got a little lost at times and could do pushing up front a little more.

Keep it up.

PS - loved the visuals

Well received comment! I agree :-). Many thanks for the feedback.

Yes, laid back. With the video, I was expecting a loud EBM tune.
But the free parts fit well with the clip.
