Installed and reinstalled numerous times. Even ran diagnostic’s on my computer as I did just update the OS.
Any of the new 2.0 updated ones with the new interface load without any presets except for the Augmented Strings for some reason. Also tried VST3 and AUv2
Anyone else have the same problem or know how to fix. Really love these plugins and like the new features and want to play w them lol
Hi @REiDSoundZ and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!
If you’ve tried all that, it might be a good idea to sign into your account and contact The Arturia Support Team, it’s currently the weekend, so it’s unlikely you’ll get a reply until next week.
It could be about a corrupt database. Have you tried to delete the db.db3 file located in your main preset folder on your ressource folder path?
After deleting then open Analog Lab if you have it and let the database rebuild. It take some time to rebuild the database, so let Analog Lab be open for a while. If you don’t have Analog Lab, then just open your other Arturia instruments.
It can be worth trying.
If you have a standard install, then the db.db3 file is located here:
If the presets are in the correct folder then as you say, rebuild the database. Delete all of the db.db3 files as described in the faq and open Analog lab or the augmented instrument to rebuild the database.
For me, ASC installed the presets a level below where they are supposed to go so the instruments either didn’t have presets or just crashed. It took me several hours to figure out the directory issue and to move all of the presets.
When I reinstalled the augmented instruments, by downloading them under resources (not ASC) the newer versions were not listed yet and ASC updated them again to the wrong directory. I had to move all of the presets again. Frustrating to say the least.
I should add, I’m on MacOS so it may not be a windows problem.
Sound strange. I suggest you contact Arturia support through your account.
I’m just saying that just because you have the issue, then others might not have the same issue for one reason or another. But i can’t rule a serious issue out. What you have experienced should not take place.
Yes it could be OS related.
BTW: There is only one db.db3 file. It take nearly no time to delete and rebuild the database.
• db.db3 – This is the main database file.
• db.db3-wal – This is the Write-Ahead Log, used to temporarily store changes before they are written to the main database.
• db.db3-shm – This is the Shared Memory file, used to coordinate access between multiple processes.
If you have the latter two, delete those as well. As LBH says, the rebuild of the main one is very fast and the other two are likely temporary and you probably won’t encounter them.
Thank you all for all the responses. I’m currently out of town for a cpl days but will try what you guys suggested w the database.
Again thank you all so much!!
Replied under Augmented mallets and put the same experience here:
Upgraded from VC X to VC XI on a Mac Mini M4 (256Gb SSD) with external 2Tb SSD. Resources installed on the external SSD.
Everything worked flawless with VC X since February.
Upgrade to XI everything works except the Augmented synths. No presets, all is clear white on standalone.
Augmented VST’s in Cubase 14 Pro get error messages on GUI and recommendation to re-install.
Tried cleaning prefs, removing db3’s, uninstalling, reinstalling (both ASC & from resources homepage), with no success.
Very strange all other 40 synths works but not the Augmented series.
Must be something wrong with Augmented V2.
Have contacted Arturia support with ticket and wait for reply.
It’s like the installer, rather than the application. Check the location of the presets. The installer places t them 1 level too deep in the file system. That is what it did on my system.
Tried moving up Augmented YANGTZE presets to the Factory folder above but still no presets in standalone and in Cubase 14 Pro.
So there’s must be something wrong with Augmented V2 series in VC XI and MacOS Sequoia, installing resources on an external SSD, especially since all other 38 synths (+ Pigments 6) works perfect both standalone and in Cubase, despite being installed in the same way (external SSD and 2 Factory folders).
We’ll see what support comes up with, first recommendation was to give full disk access to all apps and ASC, uninstall by removing everything manually and re-install with ASC.
Didn’t work of course since I’ve already tried it.
Will probably take some mail turns before they come down to the real issue (whatever it is).
Note that I’ve tried the db3 removal several times too.
Struggling with this since Saturday, I tried a 3rd attempt right now, to re-install all 7 Augmented synths, and ALAS, now they work.
Haven’t changed anything…happy happy, but my trust on Arturias competence (at least on Mac Sequoia) have been shaken. 3 days of tearing one’s hair is not what I expected after 3 years of honeymoon.
Anyway happy, making noise again
PS! Sorry for the clutter but hey, that’s what forums are for, right
Ugh. I was feeling your pain. I hope I didn’t waste too much of your time with bad advice and Arturia can help us get this sorted. It makes me reluctant to install updates that will inevitably be posted in ASC.
Like you, I have my libraries on an external drive/ssd and I wondered if that was making trouble.
I’m glad you finally got yours working! Congratulations and enjoy🙂
I’m on a Mac and I have the libraries on an external ssd. I updated the whole V Collection 10 from ASC and for several (not all) instruments the presets were not found and I had to move them up one level, as suggested by someone. This solved the problem for me. IIRC when you open an instrument the first time after this it might not start up with a default preset loaded but I now can access the presets from the preset browser.
