I was overwriting presets at slots 1-5, wanted to navigate to an organ patch but it was saved towards the very end of presets, so started turning the white preset knob mildly fast to get to end. it stiffened up, the lcd presets names stopped responding. On turing anticlockwise it lossed a bit not loads, turning clockwise again it rejammed. Right now it does rotate and the screen corresponds correctly but very difficult, to use like this.
Contacted support two days ago, no reply. I really just need a replacement knob from somewhere and get someone local to fix , cant be th at hard
I opened it up yesterday, but onceI saw the green boards blocking acess to the area of the knob to inspect. I stopped
Sorry to hear about this, if it WAS new enough to still be under warranty, this time can vary depending on your geographical location, i would have contacted the seller you purchased from to either get a replacement/refund/fix. I would not have opened the unit myself as that has now invalidated any warranty you may have had.
You could still contact those people, or see if there’s a competent repair specialist in your area who might be able to help, of course hang on for support to get back to you, as they’ve been catching up after the recent break.
HI mat. It was bought only last december, it was b stock but sold decribed a sfull warranty…
I contacted seller before I opened it. They didnt seem too interested. Said possilbly could look at it to see if they could fix(they do repairs too) However Iknow that part is just not availalble online, readily. Also I do not have time to mess around sending this abroad, waiting for a fix, and then waiting to be sent back to me. I use it on a daily basis, and also it seems to just work…
So I could possilby get by waiting for a part somehow to be sent to me, and then send it very local for repair I read this is easy… I imagine I could have it back then, very quickly without too much interuption
Thats what im thinking
DOnt get how you cant locat the parts online
I see, i’d maybe contact Arturia Support again and see if a) they might be able to locate the part for you or, b) they might have the part number/maker so you could contact them directly.
If you use a computer and MFV could you still work with it that way in some situations meanwhile?
it seems not quite as stuck now, and screen reacts to movemnt of this knob, however it is damaged and might get really bad fast again. So yes waiting on them to follow up and min they do will ask for spare parts cheers
