My MiniFreak is rendered useless after attempted firmware update!

I purchased a Minifreak 12 days ago. As soon as I received the MiniFreak I registered and tried to update the synth. Immediately after an attempted install of the firmware, the synth no longer works. The screen freezes after powering on and the synth cannot be played nor can it link to the MiniFreak V VST. I tried contacting Arturia support(twice) but i have yet to receive a reply regarding this issue. Is has been 8 days, nothing.
Has anyone run into the same issue? If so, any pointers on how to resolve this?

Thanks.

Try using a direct USB connection without a hub.

See if this helps:

no luck, thanks for the suggestion!

hey Mat. thanks for your reply. i contacted arturia’s support team 10 days ago but i have yet to hear from them. it’s getting a bit frustrating. i wish i knew this was an issue before i attempted the firmware update.

Hi @Weave_of_K

I do know support are quite busy at the moment, so please bear with them.

thanks for the suggestion everyone. i was able to resolve this issue. i guess i needed to set the synth in bootloader mode first which is Hold ‘Shift’ and ‘Oct -’ while powering on. I then was able to update the firmware through the MiniFreak V vst. That was it,
