Thanks again @Funtmaster !

I like many of those presets but FYI, the below list of presets have missing wav files. I remember seeing something about moving presets between computers, something to do with copying files under /Library (on Mac). I guess this is an indication of that. Theoreticatlly, the preset export should be including the wav files too? Is this a known/documented limitation or a bug?

  • Death of a star (/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/Factory/Classic Samples/Onyx/Cracking Glass.aif)
  • Last train (/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/Factory/Classic Samples/Hazy Cinematics/Soto.wav)
  • Munkish (/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/Factory/Classic Samples/Hazy Cinematics/Soto.wav)
  • Neptune rising (/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/Factory/Classic Samples/Percussion Concrete/Drain Pipe Pluck.wav)
  • Never Turn Inwards (/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/Factory/__Noises/Space Keys/Audiorate.wav)
  • Time Search (2 wav files)
  • Twilight Parade (/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/Factory/Classic Samples/Malachite/Plucked Metal Bar.wav)

Thank you.

Sadly, Pigments does not export samples from ‘paid for’ packs , probably due to licesning. So, I normally try to avoid these samples but the excitement of creating often gets the better of me. Ultimately, the patches are for me, so I see this limitation as an opportunity for others to substitute another sample on their system and take my patch off in a new direction.

Happy synthesising

Makes total sense. It’s still making me remember to backup stuff (that I added) under /Library/Arturia/Samples.

Ah so there will still be .wav files imported if they’re not from paid for packs, right? Now I see that some wav files made it through:

% find /Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/User/ -name \*.wav
[...]
/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/User//Decisions/100m Basic Waves.wav
/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/User//Decisions/ColdFire Scream.wav
/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/User//Decisions/Additive Thin.wav
/Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/User//Decisions/Altered Saw.wav

The samples will be present if from the official Factory banks supplied with each update of Pigments (denoted by the ‘A’ symbol prefixing them) or from non licensed sources

heya friend! thanks for this  I’m going to dive into these today
