Mk3 (61) - random latency in MIDI?

I had an answer from Arturia yesterday (12/2).
The new firmware should be available “very soon”.

Yes, i confirm ,me too. in “arturia mode” or “daw mode” is unplayable - especially with the piano sounds. let’s keep in touch for a solution.

Ok, the advice is correct; the keyboard on sustain effect/pedal works better, but, not perfectly! some notes, keep on presenting the same latency problem - not always, but at times.

The new Firmware was released! Lets see of tipis solve the problem. In the info they put this: " * Hold feature don’t create short delay on notes anymore." and " * Sustain Pedal is now set to Control type by default." I hope all is good now!

I just tested for 10mins so Far. (AL Mode and V-Piano only in DAW.)
Seems ok

I notice that the HOLD button on KL (AL Mode) does not light up when Sustain Pedal is pressed but it does in all USER Modes. Maybe that intended?

Anyway, ok so Far. I’ll test more later.

How is everyone else getting on?

My hold button is still lighting up in Arturia mode. Haven’t tried the other programs. However, the problem seems to be solved… mostly. After playing a couple of hours I felt like I still had some occasional delays when pressing the sustain pedal. But only a couple of times, as if pressing the sustain pedal triggered some computing delay. But then again, it occurred only about 3 times in an hour of playing and wasn’t nearly as pronounced as prior to the update.

My hold button is still lighting up in Arturia mode.

Hmmm. Why would one KL hold light work in AL but another does not?

No idea. I might try to do a factory reset tonight and install the update again.

Sorry for the delay. I was in the middle of a project and had some trouble with my drivers after an update. So once I got I working again, I didn’t want to change anything before I finished the project.

However, I gave my Keylab a factory reset, but for some reason the firmware version remained 1.1.1. I installed the firmware again and tested it. The hold button is still lighting up when I use the sustain pedal.

The delays in the sound of virtual instruments that sometimes occur are still in firmware 1.1.1. It is interesting that sometimes the “HOLD” key stops lighting up when you press the sustain pedal. In these happy moments, the described delays stop. It is just not clear what this keyboard behavior depends on. Setting the sustain pedal to “CONTROL” does not solve the problem.

I’ve not noticed the delays since update but the HOLD light does not come on reliably in AL mode (only) for me still. I did not do factory reset.

The delays and the glow of the HOLD button are affected by the PIANO V3 ! If you do not run this instrument after updating the firmware to version 1.1.1, the problem will not occur. If you launched PIANO V3, you will have to reset the keyboard to factory settings.

Dear Arturia, please eliminate this bad influence of PIANO V3 on KEYLAB MK3.

Thanks but i never installed pianov and still have the hold light issue in AL
