Minilab 3 not detected on Mac M2 computers

My Minilab 3 was working on my older intel macbook pro, but it doesn’t work with my new Macbook Air 15" 2023. I also tried it with a Macbook Pro 16" 2023.

I tried different cables - no luck.
I tried removing all other peripherals - no luck.

The device gets powered on, but is not detected. And it does not show up in the Mac Audio Midi Setup - Midi Studio.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Max

Solved! My monitor has a dock built in. I had to connect the Minilab 3 to the dock rather than directly to the computer and now it works. Very strange as I was able to connect it directly to my old computer. Maybe the new macs remember that you usually use a dock and defer to that USB route.

I had the same issue. I tried to connect Macbook (M3) to Minilab 3 by using a USB C <-> USB C cable. No chance.

I bought a simple USB C <-> USB A Hub (for 5€) and used the original cable provided with the Minilab 3. And now it works.

Here is a link to the Hub: HUB, 4in1 USB-A 3.0 St./3x USB-A 2.0 Bu. + 1x USB-A 3.0 Bu., spacegrau: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör

Hope my comment helps saving hours of frustration
