Minifuse 4 cuts audio after a while

Hey! I’m hoping someone here might help me. I’ve had the minifuse 4 for about 3 years and it worked perfectly but for some reason now the output just suddenly cuts out. It seems I can listen to the input, but not the output.
As in, I can listen to my guitar that’s plugged into the minifuse (instrument input selected) but not any sounds from the computer, like the clicks or master tracks. Even outside of the DAW, like safari, finder, nothing goes through the minifuse.

But what’s REALLY puzzling me is that if I restart the computer or disconnect the cable and then connect it back, for a moment, everything works fine, and then it cuts out. There doesn’t seem to be a pattern, can be 2min or 10…

I can record, but I can’t listen back and can’t follow the metronome as it cuts out seeminly random, and the only way I managed to get it back is to restart the minifuse.

I’m using mainly Ableton Live Lite 11, but I get the same issue on garage band or really any app…

Hi!

First up, it’s worth checking that your MiniFuse firmware is up to date.

You could test out a different USB port in case that’s causing it to cut out.

Perhaps you could check in the audio settings to see if an application is taking exclusive control of the soundcard. I know this can be an issue with Windows, but maybe there’s a similar setting on Mac. Make sure MiniFuse is setup as the main output in case anything else is conflicting.
