I’m interested in using my MiniFreak in the REAPER DAW (v7.33 currently) on a Windows 10 PC. In REAPER, by default I’d define virtual tracks for the 37 key synth using the Minifreak V software VST3i, after successful USB connection of course. My setup works fine in stand-alone mode, using Minifreak V .exe or VST3i, or Analog Play, or Pigments v6.x. I interface the Minifreak to computer via standard USB connection, and note that the “Link To MiniFreak” function appears to partially work, e.g. it connects via USB but fails to pass keyboard key presses from the physical keyboard through to a DAW session. With Minifreak V VST3i set on a virt REAPER track, pressing a virtual key on the screen works to sound a note, but pressing a physical key on the MiniFreak keyboard does nothing.
I’m aware my Pigments v6.x insists on MIDI Output Channel being “10” (not sure if a specific Input channel is required by Pigments). Could a REAPER user confirm the default (or mandatory?) MIDI Input channel and Output Channel specifically required by the REAPER DAW v7.33+ (it’s not apparently plug-and-play, and lacks any indication on screen which channels are actually being used).
Also-- It would be super helpful if the Minifreak V software GUI or Pigments software GUI actually displayed the Input and Output MIDI channel in use, confirming what works and what doesn’t.
Last, if DAW users of Logic X|XI, or Studio One Pro, or ProTools have interfaced the Minifreak 37 key hardware to REAPER, knowing the MIDI Input and Output channels would also help a lot – thanks in advance.

As far as i know, in REAPER, a hardware midi controller has to be added in the Preferences, as “MIDI input device”.
Go Preferences>Audio>MIDI inputs.
There’s a list with options to choose from.
If there are further questions, visit the REAPER user forum. It’s a very active and nice community there.
