My Keylab61 Essential KB works great in Linux ( Arch if it matters ) when using Analog Lab 4/V ( via WINE ), but MIDI Control Center cannot detect it, which means I can’t make adjustments so that I can use it in Reaper ( so I can record it as is w/ the Analog Lab V patch I like ).
I understand to use it in Reaper the way I want, I have to use the MIDI Control Center to adjust a few parameters, but, I can’t do that unless the KB is detected, which it isn’t.
I’ve verified through ALSA/command line that the KB is correctly identified and using other MIDI monitoring software confirm not only is it identified properly but it’s also sending all the correct commands. I’ve also tried various versions of WINE and various versions of Windows within winetricks compatibility, and nothing works.
I don’t think the problem is WINE itself not passing MIDI commands because otherwise Analog Lab ( and my ALSA testing ) would have failed.
It’s specifically WINE + MIDI control Center.
I found a YouTube that suggested that with MIDI CC, Arturia uses some sort of custom drivers that are not used with the built-in Linux distribution USBMIDI , and suggested using “SYSEX Controls” but I can’t really find a package that seems relevant, even on GitHub.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Do I have any options other than having to run a Windws VM?
