Hi! I need the “magic man” patch as I’m in a Heart Tribute. The factory preset sounds great (leads - magic man), but does not have the modulation wheel “wavy” effect that is used at the end of the album solo.
I have no idea how to program a Moog synth.
Does anyone have a patch for “magic man” that is better, or can someone please tell me how to change it?
Do you mean the Mini V4 preset “Lucky Man Emerson”?
f you mean Mini V4 and not Mini V3, and if you mean Pitch modulation added in the original way, then you can start reading the Mini V4 manual sections:
3.1. Oscillator Bank - (OSC 3 was used for modwheel modulation. The Pitch of the OSC set the speed then.)
3.5.2. Modulation
4.2. Keyboard
Mini V4 have added other modulators than the original, that perhaps can be used instead.
4.1.1. LFO
As this is posted in the ‘V3’ section, i think we need to clarify.
I, too, have the ‘Lucky man Emerson’ preset on the V4 version, but do not have V3 installed currently.
Hmmm, I was sure it was part of an Arturia pack. here is the preset: Mini_Preset_Magic Man lead.minix (13.1 KB)
I’m hoping someone can fix it, I have no programming skillz…
That patch didn’t sound particularly close to the sound on the album. I tweaked it a little and added some LFO control, so the Mod Wheel should put in a wavy effect. It’s far from perfect, but should be more useable at least.
The Multipost thing was unnecessary. It was my first post ever to this forum. Not the best welcome.
In fact… Rather than referencing a “frontpage” (what does that even mean), or a “Categori” (I think you meant a category), could you please provide a URL to a page that has that New Topic button you mentioned?
HI @Photona
Just to make you aware, English isn’t everyone’s first language on this forum, please keep this in mind.
Also, if you go to the relevant subsection you wish to post in, look in the top right-hand corner, as in the pic below, you’ll see the 'new topic button,
it might be the case that a new user has to make a certain amount of replies to existing posts before they can create a new post of their own though, as is the case on many forums. @LBH and I are both ‘external moderators’ who do not work for Arturia and so have limited access to certain things.
