MacOS Audio/MIDI app sees device but no note messages are sent

Hi,

This has been an ongoing problem for me.

Let me preface this by saying that after a few power cycles on MiniFreak, the problem disappears.

MacOS sees my MiniFreak as a MIDI device in Audio/MIDI setup, but no MIDI data is seen by applications. I have my MiniFreak connected to my Mac via USB.

I can also connect/sync with the MiniFreak V app, but playing keys does nothing. I get the same behavior in my DAWs as well (Logic 11 and Live 12).

I am also on the latest firmware (2.0).

I have tried changing MIDI To/From settings on MiniFreak to USB only and USB and MIDI, but that does nothing.

Anyone else experience this?

Hi @brzilian. Welcome to the community.

I don’t have a hardware Minifreak.
Are you sure you have set Minifreak V to recieve midi? Are you sure you have created a setup in Logic to recieve midi from the keyboard?

If so, then i suggest you contact Arturia support, unless someone else can help.
