In my first rock band (I played synths), in 1983, we played “Love My Way” by the Psychedelic Furs! Your song sounds quite different than the Psychedelic Furs, but I think it sounds quite good! It sounds quite 80’s, which is fine by me!
It’s a simple catchy tune. I feel it’s based on a riff on one chord (C major7: There’s an army on the dance floor) and an answer lower on the related chord (B-7: It’s a fashion with a gun, my love). Cmajor7: In a room without a door B-7: A kiss is not enough in.
I find this play with a thought and an echoing response quite catchy.
I had many of their albums. My favorite was Mirror moves.
I don’t like to reproduce songs or pieces; I often try to reharmonize songs with jazz chords. In Love my way, I play C-7 and Eb9sus4 according to Pianoteq.
