Library management in Linux. Did you get Polybrute Connect working?

I work on Linux (fedora) and would like to manage my polybrute preset library from my laptop. Did anyone try to get Polybrute Connect running on Linux? I would also be happy with any third party software.

Thanks!

Hello ! i use ubuntu (22.04lts) i tried to use Wine unsucessfully…
So i installed VirtualBox and a win10x64 with 8Go dedicated ram.
The most important is to configure the virual machine to use usb3 and allow it to acces Polybrute (which is recognized by Ubuntu -check with “lsusb” in a terminal-)
Make sure to install Virtualbox “guest additions” in your W10 VM.
Make sure W10 “sees” the Polybrute and then install ArturiaSoftwareCenter first, then Polybrute connect. I did the same with MinifreakV and i could update my Minifreak and upload sounds. All works fine. Be carefull and check VM configuration after each system or VirtualBox update !!
Hope it will help you !

Hello.

In order for the PB Connect to work, you’ll need to be sure both PB MIDI ports are visible and usable by the software.
You must also be sure that they have the same name as on a real Windows machine which are (if I remember well, so you might want to double check this info): “PolyBrute MIDI” and “PolyBrute VST”

If you don’t have theses exact MIDI names seen by your OS, the software won’t be able to communicate with the synth.

There is a very related and interesting thread for KeyLabs here.
That’s the same issue that have been solved using some MIDI port renaming shenanigan. You may want to check it and try the same approach.

Cheers !
