Lets bring the server down again :)

It seems my last posting managed to crash the server. Sorry Arturia. Here is another offering. It’s mainly Pigments, using all my own patches as per usual. It was created quite by accident - but I often find they are the best.

A slow rhythmic drone accompanying long sonorous bell like chords.
Quite nice. It will surely break the server again.

AH!!!
So it was YOUR fault then!!!

:smirk::smirk:

Interesting track, personally, i think i’d back off the trem effect here and there and it’ll ADD a nice dynamic to the track, sometimes less is more and i think it would really help it.
Maybe add something percussive and with a different rhythm if you’re wanting to keep it rhythmic all the way through?

Guilty…

I know others may approach it differently and seek suggestions but I learnt some time ago to trust my own judgement. I appreciate the feedback but I am on my own journey and my music is my destination. If others “get it” it as much as me - great. My wife thought the whole thing sounded horrible and reminded her of Cabaret Voltaire - which I take as a great compliment!

Yeah like all artists you’re not here to please everybody. Those on your wavelength will get you and will naturally gravitate to you. Every great piece of art is polarising to a certain extent, with some saying it absolutely speaks to them and others saying it’s drivel. If there isn’t that polarisation it’s not art it’s just safe landlord-grade beige paint, and sure more people will accept it in the short term but no one will remember it.

You managed to explain so eloquently what I was failing to adequately articulate. Thank you.

Hello @Funtmaster , I’d lean more toward a chant. A bit like those Aboriginal Australian songs—including the music of the Australian Aborigines—the didgeridoo.
Regarding your latest post, I think the song of the whales must have something to do with it, because it often ends in the depths; the server prefers to take advantage of the absolute calm of this vast digital ocean to take a break.
Best regards.

Its strange. I was listening to music after posting the track and was drawn to two entirely different influences. One was the track True to Life by Roxy Music, the other was Love Grows Out Of Thin Air by Ulrich Schnauss. I could only hear it after completing the track. Its all a big melting pot…
