Keylab MKII Metro button doing nothing in Cubase

I hardly use my Keylab MKII for DAW, but the other night I tired and while most buttons work as expected, the Metro button does nothing in Cubase. I thought it was supposed to turn on and off the metronome.

Did you follow the DAW setup instructions for Cubase?

It describes the required step to map the “Use metronome” command to the F3 button in the Mackie control.

I followed that page yes, but i don’t seem to have the option to do any assignments in the window.
All other buttons are working ok, it’s just that one.

I believe there is a script i might have to download, but i can’t find it for the MKII, so haven’t used that. Not sure if that might be a problem.

Thanks.

You don’t need a script for the older Keylab MkII as it uses the (now legacy) Mackie control implementation in Cubase.

Keylab MkII does not support the newer Cubase MIDI remote API that is based on JavaScript script files. At least not with an official script from Arturia. There are however existing scripts from the Cubase user base that you will find at the Steinberg Cubase forums.

Thanks for the info. Very helpful.
I was hoping it would be a smooth setup like it was with Logic, but CB seems a bit more tricky. No idea why i can do any of the assignments in the main window. I’ll need to look further in to it at some point, but as all the other keys are working fine i won’t spend any more time on just one button.
