Can you download the Firmware file manually using a ‘save as’ command and then run it from your machine that way?

HI @JohnS

@JohnS Just to make sure, this thread is about KeyLab mk3, not KeyLab Essential Mk3.
Current firmware for the Essential Mk3 series is 1.1.6 (firmware 1.1.1 for KeyLab mk3 is not compatible with the Essential series).
The forum for KeyLab Essential series is here
And the resources for Essential Mk3 are there
I’ve had exactly the same issue with the KeyLab Mk3. According to the firmware 1.1.1 changelog, they claim: “Hold feature don’t create short delay on notes anymore.”
But I still clearly feel a delay when using the sustain pedal it’s like the keyboard doesn’t register the note timing correctly when the pedal is pressed.
I’ve had the keyboard for just three days and noticed the problem right away. It’s also quite strange that no new firmware updates have been released since December. If this issue was acknowledged, I would’ve expected at least some follow-up or fix by now.
Has anyone here received any updates or unofficial fixes from Arturia support?
Would really appreciate if anyone could share their experience right now this bug is making the keyboard pretty much unusable in real playing situations where I rely on the sustain pedal.
Thanks!
I’m in the same boat. Occasional delayed input when using the sustain pedal. Firmware 1.1.1 seemed to have solved the problems to a certain extend, but they still exist…
I am pretty sure a big update is coming… I exchanged with the customer service (and possibly development team) about other (less serious) bugs I found. They told me they had been fixed – and so, the fixes will be in the next update.
Pretty soon I hope ![]()
Had also noticed the occasional delay too. Am glad I am not the only one !
I hope you are right!
There’s not been an update for some time and all the latest plugins, like Jup-8000 V, Pure LoFi, etc. are still lacking full support in their flagship controller.
Same here waiting also now its October ![]()
Waiting for an update here also… sustain pedal issue must be solved…
Any news Auturia?
A little birdie told me it’s coming soon! ![]()
I think that birdie was a liar ![]()
He told me “soon”, not “this week” or “next week”. ![]()
I have a good feeling that it could be “this month”, although there’s been no official announcement.
At least it’s coming !
I guess it is gonna be significant - considering, at the beginning of this year, several of my complaints had already been addressed (although not released) - so obviously they could have made a point release for those small changes.
Also, I have memories of several cool Minifreak update before Christmas ![]()
I hope we can finally control / use their plugin from the h/w on linux. It’s already annoying enough with the keylab series that DAW and AL mode can’t switch within the DAW but this here is quite irritating as no control works whatsoever.
New update is out.
one year for this? this gotta be the most underwhelming firmware update ever. don’t get me wrong, bug fixes are important, but what took them that long?
i was expecting so much more from Arturia for an update after one year,
its just working now as it should since it’s out… after more than a year
no improvement,
still not as customizable as the previous version sadly, its a shame for an evolution,
this controler deserve much more, does Arturia is proud of this product and the evolution after a year?
But… There is a 1.2.0 version as well ?
Quite a lot of important fixes. Actually, I personally didn’t expect more as I just wanted the keyboard to work properly ![]()

Improved pop-ups behavior in scale menu.
Aux Pedal, Encoder Acceleration, Pads General settings & Pads sensitivity are now Global parameters, accessible with Arturia & DAW program too via Settings > Global tab.
Various improvements on internal MIDI FX.
Considering the (sustain) problems this update is supposed to fix, this is a huge update! Although it should’ve come months earlier as it made the Keylab an unreliable piece of kit.
They might want to compensate the early adopters with a free or heavily discounted plugin for the inconveniences…
Still no support for instrument images from the latest V Collection update ![]()
Hi Robbie,
as I noted here:
Actually, KL3 update 1.2.0 does include the instrument images for Jup-8000V, Pure LoFi, SEM V3 and Augmented Mallets, but these images will only be displayed after an upcoming update of Analog Lab and these V-Collection instruments.
I don’t know when this Analog Lab / V-Collection update might be released, but I’m guessing early 2026.
