Keylab mk3 and Arturia Mode in Ableton

I have three channels set up in Ableton and a Keylab mk3 connected. Channel one has an instance of Analog Lab, channel two has Pigments, and channel three has an Ableton drum rack. In this scenario:

  1. When the Keylab is Arturia mode, should the screen on the Keylab change from Analog Lab to Pigments when I select their respective channels in Ableton? Right now the screen only updates after I change presets on the keyboard or in the plugin. For instance, if I’m on channel one (Analog Lab) and select channel two (Pigments) in Ableton, the keyboard’s screen will still show the Analog Lab preset until I change presets in Pigments or click the main encoder on the Keylab. Is this the correct behavior or should the Keylab’s screen update automatically when I select a channel that contains an Arturia Plugin?

  2. Similarly, what should happen when I’m in Arturia Mode and select channel one (Analog Lab) and then channel three (a drum rack). Right now the keyboard’s screen continues to show Analog Lab’s preset.

  3. Finally, if I’m in DAW mode and have channel three selected (drum rack) and then select channel one or two (Analog Lab or Pigments), should the keyboard automatically switch to Arturia mode because I’ve selected a track that contains an Arturia plugin? This does not happen for me and I’m curious if this is the correct behavior.

I’m wondering if something is wrong with my settings or if this behavior is normal.

I’m on Mac OS 14.5, the latest version of Ableton 12, Keylab firmware 1.1.1, and my Arturia plugins are up to date.

Thanks!
