Keylab MK3 49/61 keys

Just saw this from Loopop! The wait is over!

Sorry, I, for myself, will wait for a KeyLab with the keyboard of the PolyBrute12.

@Arturia: You could have done it already. This (MKIII) is not enough.

STILL no poly aftertouch. So that means it’s what, five years away, unless they launch a more expensive Keylab Pro? I mean there are literally presets in AL5 and VCX that require PA to work optimally. And you still haven’t given us an in-house controller that has the feature. Incredible.

Bye Arturia. Well, at least for hardware controllers. NI beckons me. And I will answer.

It’s been a nice ride but if you can’t read the market I’m not sure what to say.

I came here to say exactly this. Was really excited when I just saw it, but non poly aftertouch, no sale. I really can’t believe this.

I was gutted when I saw they had released this. I only got my MKII in June.
Ive also just got the Essentials MK3.
Now ive seen a couple of videos it seems to me the new KL3 is more a super E3 as far as features goes.
If I was buying again id still go for the MKII. I dont need the screen, pads or the extra outs on the back, but I do use the 9 buttons a lot and I think the MKII just looks nicer.

A little bit disappointing for live players:
MK3 lost 4 pad, >9 buttons and LEDs, external controls (compared to the Mk2).
:frowning:

Fingers crossed the 88 will have the full pads, since that is the hardware targeted towards live players (because of weighting and the laptop platform). You technically get more pads because of banking, but I never swap banks, I just want all 16 pads ready to go. I have an Akai Mini and it sucks having only 8 pads because you have to a/b them on the fly when software you’re using maps to 16 pads (like a lot of drum vsts).

Wish I could find it, but somebody posted here the timeframe between the smaller keybeds and the 88 mk2 when speculating about the mk3 release. Would be nice to have a guess when the 88 will come out.
