I’m using Pure LoFi with the Keylab 88 mk3 and I cannot select 2 different parts while in split mode. If I change part 1, part 2 changes as well. Is there something I am missing?
Hey , In standalone you need 2 different software to run split set lofi to channel 1 and say mini V to channel 2 you then can play the split, you can’t run 2 of the same like this
but in a DAW you can have 2 of the same just make sure the midi channels on input are set correctly.
you may find in arturia mode that you cannot swap part 1 and part 2 preset names between softwares
Thanks for the quick reply! I think I see what you’re saying, but I’m still having the same issue even if I have 2 softwares open,. Both parts of the multi switch to whichever preset I selected most recently even if its a different software instrument. I tried in Ableton LIve 12 as well but can only seem to get one part or the layers on top of each other (to be fair, this could be due to me not properly understanding how I need to set up the midi channels for this function.)
I was able to get around this whole issue somewhat by just saving my own presets from LoFi and then opening them in Analog lab where splitting works, but I still can’t seem to figure out layers/splits outside of analog lab.
with the midi you need to set the input channel 1 to Part 1 then in LOFI open the cog and make sure the midi channel is 1. then do this the same for the second software for channel 2
then in split you should have channel 1 on the lower half and channel 2 for the upper, also check in the KL split setting that the Chanels and split are ok.
Thanks for this! Got it working with the multiple software instruments now! Not exactly what I was looking for in the first place, but seems like the closest solution to what I was trying to achieve. Thanks a lot for your replies!
You could also use Analog Lab to create a Multi preset with Pure LoFi on one Part of Analog Lab, and another Pure LoFi preset on the other Part (or another instrument).
