Keylab 49/61 MIDI map for Vox Continental V - how to install?

In Glen Darcey’s video on the Vox tutorial page, https://support.arturia.com/hc/en-us/articles/5379395784092-Vox-Continental-V-Tutorials , he references a Vox midi map for the Keylab 46 and 61 models.

I found the download here https://dl.arturia.net/extra/vox-continental-v/VOX_V_keylab_map.keylab4961 and the question mark icon next to the link displays the following install information:

KeyLab mapping for Vox Continental V - Load this file into the free MIDI Control Center editorand send it to the preset of your choice. Recall this preset when using Vox Contiental V with a KeyLab to get the best musical experience.

I’m trying to follow this and I don’t see where to load the file into the MIDI Control Center nor a way to send it to a preset. Please assist. Thank you!

Hi @erikssonal. Welcome to the community.

Do you have the old Arturia controller used in the video and use the original V1 version of VOX?
It’s an over 11 year old video.

What do you want to accomplish?

If you use VOX Continental V2 and wan’t to be able to map a controller to it, then you for example can use the MIDI Config feature in the right panel and use midi learn. Then you can control VOX from a controller.

if you need more help than this, then please add more informations.

Just in case fyi: The preset mentioned in the text you’ve posted is not a VOX preset but a controller preset.
Midi configs in the instruments are not presets based.

Hi @LBH -

When I watched the video in Arturia’s Support FAQ section. It didn’t occur to me that it would be out of date and no longer applicable.

Same thing applies for the controller referenced in the video. When Glen referred the Keylab 61, I thought is was being referred to generically.

I was hoping this would be a quick way to map the draw bars and other UI controls to my KeyLab 61 Mk3.

As you suggested, I’ll use MIDI config and midi learn to accomplish this instead.

Thanks for replying!

Actually, there are already mappings in KL Mk3 that work with Vox V2, in Arturia mode.

There’s one default mapping for KL Mk3 that is included in Vox V2 (it is a global mapping for all Vox V2 presets):

There is also a mapping when using Vox V2 through Analog Lab.
In that case, the mapping of the KeyLab controls (9 encoders + 9 faders) can be edited and saved individually for each preset.

Hey @Sean_W -

Thanks for the tip! I appreciate the help.
