I’m trying to create a split with Pigments, but it seems not possible. At best I can create a 2 layers setup: here the layer seems ok but I cannot assign preset to parts 1 and 2 independently.
Is it only available with Analog lab ?
Yes combining 2 full presets can only be done in Analog Lab.
You can also layer instruments in hosts like DAW’s in different ways depending on the DAW.
If you create two presets in Pigments, then they are available for your Analog Lab, when you open it. Then you can create a Multi preset with one preset in Part 1 and the other in Part 2.
In Pigments you can create a sound for each synth engine and then use levels and level modulations. But that’s not the same.
I use the keyboard level controls quite a bit and have created many patches with either a split point or scaling affecting the two main synth engines. On the plus side, this does allow a lot of interesting possibilities when using Pigments sequencer where you can employ note and/or velocity info. If you then had two such patches loaded in AL, things can get pretty complex.
