Total slam dunk!! I disconnected a couple of ribbon cables and it works perfectly. The hardest part is going to be the modification of the metal baseplate. If you have ANY basic machining skills as I do, it’s a 2 hour job.
If you don’t, you probably have a friend with a straightedge, a hacksaw, a drill and some pliers. I’m not kidding.
It’s got to be a couple of months before I’m back off the road and finish this, but the keyboard and wheels are now gone, and be gigging with my “HalfFreak” next weekend.
I will eventually post all the photos of both my intended mods:
- Basic keyboard delete as above.
- Minimoog hinged panel build into a case including a 49 key full size keyboard, an Eventide H9 Max, and relocation of the touchstrips to the left of the MF other controls because why not?
