Is the sequencer tutorial wrong?

I’ve been learning a lot about this synth starting with the original manual, which doesn’t cover the sequencers they added here.

In the tutorial it says “In this step, the sequencer control’s VCO1’s pitch and triggers the ADSR envelope creating a melody”.

It then goes on to say mess around with the features and see how they effect it.

But it does not appear to be modifying VCO1’s pitch at all? And none of the controls change anything. If I attach the quantized output to the kbd cv tracking on VCO1 it works, but the tutorial only mentions doing that to avoid double tracking.

To me it seems like the tutorial is wrong about it being prewired but I want to make sure I’m not missing something fundamental as I’m just diving into semi-modular synthesis.

Hi @Chewy. Welcome to the community.

You are correct that you have to make a connection to the VCO pitch from the sequencer. The VCO pitch is pre wired to the KBD CV. I don’t know what’s meant by “double tracking”.
Perhaps ARP 2600 V3’s tutorial is a little clumsy.

You are always welcome to ask.
