Is Astrolab (37) able to use Pigments 7 user presets?

There seems to be some dancing around this simple question:

Can Astrolab 37/61 use Pigments 7 user presets or 3rd party presets? Additionally, can those presets contain user wavetables and/or samples? It is understood that the presets would need to be made available in Analog Lab first.

Thanks!

I just tested this. It works.

I created a new preset in Pigments 7 with both a sample and a wavetable oscillator. Used custom sounds for both engines. Saved, loaded up Analog Lab Pro and sent the preset to my Astrolab 37. It loads and plays the preset as expected.

I’m on the 1.7.0 firmware. Analog Lab Pro, latest it will let me update to.

Hope that answers your question.

Cheers.

Yes and yes! (Pigments 7 compatibility was added in AstroLab 1.7.0 update)

It is understood that the presets would need to be made available in Analog Lab first.

This is where there can be confusion.
Some banks are only available in Pigments format (.pgtx), and in this case, you need a Pigments license to be able to import them in Analog Lab before sending them to AstroLab.
If the Pigments bank is already available in Analog Lab format (.labx), then the Pigments license is not needed.
