'Imagine This' by Detronics

This is the latest Detronics single ‘Imagine This’.

We used three Mellotrons for strings and some of the choir and winds sounds, as well as a couple of B-3s, a Piano and a Stage 73 for the Rhodes. Everything else (I think!) is real instruments played by real people and recorded in my real small studio.

We use Arturia instruments on pretty much everything we do, including on most tracks on the album ’ All That I Asked For’’ and I haven’t found anything better. Other favourites that appear widely in our music include Mini-V, Spark and Pigments, and we also use a MicroFreak.

I love the song! Vocals have a nice Simon LeBon quality to them and there’s a good blend of sounds throughout. One mix critique is that I would have liked the piano solo in the second half to be a little more forward, at a level similar to the vocals earlier.
