I think my microfreak has suffered a short circuit

Hi guys, I recently drank a glass of water while making music. Somehow I got hold of the glass and it fell over. A large part of it fell onto the keyboard of the Microfreak and the Minilab, which is right next to it. So I immediately unplugged it, took it apart and left it to dry for a few days. Now I’ve reassembled it and when I tried to switch it on again, the display came on briefly and then went out again. So I disconnected it from the power again. Now I don’t know what else I can do. Fortunately, the Minilab did not suffer a short circuit, if there was one.

I would be pleased to receive suggestions for solutions.

Alex

HI @ForFoxSake and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!

Sorry to hear about this, bit an unfortunate one this.

Without physically opening the unit and testing it, there’s not much anyone can advise other than it might be worth logging in to your account to contact our support team to see if they can advise on any potential inspection and repair.
If you know a good electronics specialist locally you could probably get them too check it over as you’ve already invalidated the warranty unfortunately AFAIK.

If you have insurance, you might want to check your policy to see if you’re covered for this kind of accidental damage, some policies do and some don’t.

HTH!
