I can't drag Midi Patterns into DAW.

Hello, I’ve been using Spark for a very long time because of the Creativ Drum Machine controller. I love it. I’ve bought and tried many drum machines, but I always come back to this one.

I’m running into a problem that I can’t find a solution to. I can’t drag the drum pattern into Ableton 12. It’s incomprehensible. It works in waw, but not in midi. It also works to desktop. It also works from desktop to daw. It also works with other drum machines (e.g. Triaz).

I don’t understand. I didn’t change anything. However, I recently updated Ableton to 12. I don’t know if that’s what caused it. Do you have any tips? Thanks.

Hi @grag. Welcome to the community.

It look like it’s about Ableton Live. I don’t use Live so a i can’t test.
It would be great if a Spark2 and Live user could respond, but if not, then i suggest you contact Ableton and Arturia support through your account.
You can also try to ask in a Live forum.

Perhaps there is a change or a bug in Live 12.
You could try to reinstall Live, just in case.

I don’t think you can expect Arturia will update Spark2, but i can’t tell for sure.

Unfortunately i can’t do more.

Hello, I was informed that there is no solution to this problem. Ableton is very new, Spark is very old…
I’m going to go ahead and bury Spark. It’s outdated in many ways anyway. I’m terribly sorry that they haven’t improved it.
I’ll miss the CDM controller. :frowning:

It’s crazy that it’s still for sale while being basically abandonware, and has been abandonware for countless years, with no equivalent replacement in sight.
