Hub on host port?

Can you use a hub on the host port to utilize more than one midi controller?

Hmmm… I never tried, but I’ll try soon.
Even if it works, you might have to use a powered hub, as the power from AstroLab through USB host (5V, 1.5A) might not be enough to power 2 controllers.
It’s enough to power a KeyLab mk3.

What kind of controllers were you thinking about?

Thanks for the reply – a LinnStrument and a MIDI Twister Fighter. Probably too much for 1.5 A .

I just tried, even with a passive USB hub, I was able to connect 2 USB/MIDI controllers (a KeyLab mk3 and another small controller) to the AstroLab and both were powered by AstroLab. USB/MIDI data from both controllers was received by AstroLab.

Not sure how much power the LinnStrument uses, but it’s probably going to need to have its own power source (or a powered hub.)
