How do I select a specific Device Memory from minilab 3 HARDWARE ??
Hi @ARTRIArusty77. Welcome to the community.
From the Minilab 3 manual:
- 4.4.2. Pads and Program Selection
MiniLab 3 has several main operating modes: ARTURIA and DAWs plus the 5 custom User Programs you can create. Hold Shift and press Pad 3 to switch between them.
• ARTURIA mode: Automatically detects if Analog Lab is open. All controls are automatically mapped control Analog Lab.
• DAWsmode: For controlling digital audio workstation software. Supported DAWs are automatically mapped. For all other DAWs, transport controls will work.
• User Presets: MiniLab 3 can store up to five User Programs — custom control mappings you have created in the MIDI Control Center app (see separate manual). User Presets may be individually enabled or disabled in the Device Settings of the MIDI Control Center app. We will explain what to do in more detail in Chapter 5, but for now, know that holding Shift and pressing Pad 3 will also cycle through any enabled user presets alongside the ARTURIA and DAWs modes as described above. -
I assume this is the information you need. The section about User Presets.
Gracias amigo …
Hmm… I have more questions. I have a minilab mk ii, my studio collaborator has a new minilab 3 . I know how to change to a different Device Memory slot on my minilab mk ii, just hold down Shift and press the pad # of the Device Memory that I want. Easy Peasy. Apparently the minilab 3 is different. He has two User Templates… (btw no Analog Lab install yet) He dragged one User Template into Dev. Memory slot 2 and the other User Template into Dev. Memory slot 3. When he holds down Shift and taps pad 3 it sequentially shows: Default>Arturia>DAW. Nothing that shows Dev. Memory slot 2 or 3 ( with or without his custom name). I’m confused by the term Preset… not interested in a Analog Lab preset. We’re just trying to select one of his Device Memory slots that he dragged a User Template into. Thoughts? Thanks in Advance ! Hi again @ARTRIArusty77,
We are not talking about Analog Lab presets here. It’s deice memories in Midi Control Center.
I suggest to look in the manuals.
Ablout Minilab MK2.
From Minilab MK2 manual:
2.1.1. Front Panel
-
- Shift button: Press Shift and one of the pads will light to show the current Memory selection. ◦ Hold Shift and press a Pad to select a Memory.
thanks for being patient. I’m only interested in changing device memory on the minilab 3 hardware. I’m only seeing Default>Arturia>DAW when we hold down shift and press pad 3. Like the manual says. Weird.
Have you created other templates beside the Default and looked in the MIDI Control Center (MCC)?
The MCC also have a manual. There are images in manuals too. So please first have a look in the manuals first.
All manuals can be downloaded from here:

I don’t have the controllers. If you need further assistance then i suggest you contact Arturia support through your account.
