Just got an AL61 and have hundreds of presets in Prophet V3 that it says are not compatible. How do I get them into Astrolab? I was under the impression that all the presets within V Collection 11 Pro (besides Mellotron) could be loaded into Astrolab. I mainly got the AL61 to use for my Prophet V3 presets but it’s currently useless for that.
Hi @dreamtribe. Welcome to the community.
Prophet V3 is a legacy product. It’s not a part of V-Collection 11. Prophet V3 was replaced by the new Prophet-5 V and Prophet VS V quite some time ago - already in V-Collection 9.
Prophet V3 presets can still be used with the Analog Lab software, if you include Legacy sounds.
But Prophet V3 presets are not compatible with Astrolab.
I’m sorry if you have misunderstood something. You can read the list of compatible instruments that do not include Prophet V here:

Thanks for the response. Is there no way to load Prophet V3 presets into Prophet 5V? My Prophet 5V only has 121 presets, but my V3 has 807 presets. What did Arturia do with the 686 missing presets?
Prophet-5 V and Prophet-VS V are both new rebuild instruments. They are not a Hybrid like Prophet V3 is. Prophet V3 presets are not compatible with Prophet-5 V or Prophet VS V.
Arturia have not removed any presets. You can still use the presets in your Prophet V3 if your OS still support Prophet V3.
And as said you can also still use the presets in the Analog Lab software.
I know I can still use my legacy presets in Analog Lab, but I’m only concerned with using them in Astrolab right now. It sounds like my only option is to rebuild every preset manually. Thanks for your help!
Personally i find Prophet-5 V and Prophet VS V are better than Prophet V3. Perhaps that can be a consolation, if you find the same.
Yea, I’m just thinking of all the time I don’t have to recreate the presets.
As LBH responded, AstroLab is compatible with instruments from VC9, VCX and VC11.
Prophet V3 was replaced by Prophet 5V and Prophet VSV in VC9, and therefore not compatible with AstroLab. Because those synth were completely redone using newer modeling technology, there’s no way to load old presets in the new versions.
The same applies to other “legacy” versions of instruments such as CS-80V3, Jup-8V3, Piano V2 (replaced respectively by CS-80V4, Jup-8V4, Piano V3 in VC9).
The only instruments that have 2 supported versions are the ones that were updated since VC9: Mini V3/V4, SEM V2/V3 and Wurli V2/V3

Prophet V3 had 656 Factory presets that used either Prophet 5 or Prophet VS features (and a few with both combined). Maybe you also had presets from additional soundbanks and/or user presets?
-
In Analog Lab, Prophet 5V has 126 Factory presets (including the 40 orignal “vintage factory” presets), and Prophet VSV has 220 Factory presets (including the 100 orignal “vintage factory” presets)

AstroLab’s library includes some additional Prophet 5V and VSV presets (in particular, presets from the Artist tributes).
