Having Arp only affect one side of split preset

For the keylab 88 mk3, is there a way to have the Arp only affect one instrument in a split setup?
I have so far been unsuccessful at trying to achieve this and can’t seem to find any tips in the manual.

It would be great to play a lead solo while Arp’ing a bass or vice versa in the split instrument configuration.

Hi @tcauduro. Welcome to the community.

I can only read the manual about this.

As far as i understand, then Spilt is only possible when using Analog Lab.

The controllers build in Arp can not be split to only play with some keys.

In Analog Lab you can use different presets for each part. That include arp presets for one or both parts. This presets use the individual instruments internal arps, and can do what you ask for.

I suggest you contact Arturia support through your account to be certain about this.

Yes.

This is mostly described in Section 5 of the manual (USER PROGRAM).
In particular, in section 5.4.7.1. (Part 1/2 Settings):
These two edit pages are identical. Select the Part you want to edit.
Here you can set what Note Range, MIDI Channel, Octave, and Semitone (Transpose) values
that KeyLab mk3 defaults to when you create Presets.
Pitch and Mod Wheel, Aftertouch, Sustain, Expression, and Aux Pedals can de active by
default too.
Finally, you can set the default state of the MIDI effects (Hold, Chord, Arp, and Scale).”

KeyLabmk3 can split (or layer) the controller in 2 Parts, in USER mode as well.

Actually, yes, you can enable/disable the ARP independently on Part1 and/or Part2

That’s great info @Sean_W. Thanks.

The manual isn’t very detailed on that topic. It’s clearer when you have the unit in front of you. This should help:

@Sean_W Thank you!
Absolute legend!

Got it working in user mode. Couldn’t quite make it work in Arturia mode even though the midi keyboard settings have one split’s Arp set to off. But I can make things work with user mode.

Thanks again for taking the time to help. I hope some good karma flows your way!

As @LBH mentioned, in Arturia mode, you can program the Splits and the Arps in Analog Lab / V-Collection, instead of the ones in KeyLabmk3.
