Free open-source visual editor for the KeyStep Pro (feedback welcome)

Hi all,

I made a free, open-source (AGPL-3.0) desktop app for the KeyStep Pro called KeyStepPro Studio. Unofficial, not affiliated with Arturia. No cost, no paid version, no account.

  • Read a project over USB, edit patterns in a piano-roll grid, drum patterns, scenes and chains, arp settings, tempo, swing and MIDI channels, then write it back.
  • Library of projects and full backups.
  • Two editions: Lite (the editor, recommended) and Full (adds a VST3 host).

Safety: it only writes to a KeyStep Pro on the official firmware 2.5.20, with an automatic backup before every write and a read-back check after. Make your own backup first anyway. No warranty.

Windows: installer or portable zip (not code-signed, so SmartScreen will warn).

Mac: zip in the release (unsigned, use Open Anyway). Close MIDI Control Center before connecting.
