Some background: I decided to try creating patches based on Arturias analog recreations but not using any additions/features that were not present in the original hardware. I kept to the original polyphony, and avoided FX except where on the original. I did allow myself to add some compression and a little reverb, but of course, these can be disabled. With all the new features that Arturia add, it’s easy to forget the origins of these synths and how much was accomplished with them at the time.
It was an interesting and challenging process. One that I think was ultimately rewarding as I was pleasantly surprised by the results.
