I have a recently purchased KeyLab 61 Mk3 connected to a Mac Mini M4 into Logic Pro 11.1. I launched Analog Lab V and was prompted by the app to update the firmware. I clicked ok and the app started doing it’s thing. Well I am 12 hours in and it looks like it is froze at around 5% progress. I have submitted a support ticker but don’t expect an answer from them until after Christmas. Any idea if I should disconnect it or turn the unit off? Kill the app?
Turned the unit off and back on and then ran the MIDI control center app. I have my controller back
My 49 key did somehting similar when I attempted to reinstall firmware the other day. I had previously updated to the same FW version using an older version of MIDI Control Center and that worked flawlessly so I wonder if there may be a FW update bug in the current version of MIDI Control Center. In my case, the update window disappeared and I had to reboot the keylab in order to start the update. Based on what I saw, I think MIDI Control Center puts the hardware into a bootloader mode to perform the update but then fails to restablish a connection with the hardware.
HI @Artimusbill and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!
Good to see ‘you still have your controller’ there
It’s surprising how just ‘turning it off and on again’ can solve many of life’s problems, it’s a shame we can’t do it with everything though
