I don’t know if this is by design, but if so, it’s a weird choice: both filter volume and filter pan have an effect in filter 2, even if the filter is bypassed. I would expect that when serializing 1 into 2 and filter 2 is set to bypass, that also the volume and pan info is bypassed.
I would expect you not to send anything through Filter 2, if not wanting any output from it.
Why use a serial position, when you just can set it to full parallel position?
By Bypass you don’t use any filter, but you still get an output.
If you send a signal through Filter 2, then the Filter output Volume and Pan should have an effect.
As it is you can send a Raw signal through the Filters but still have a Volume and Pan option for the Raw signal.
I will say all this is by design.
May i ask, what you would like to do, that you can’t as Pigments is?
If its by design, then it is a limitation. But I guess it can be worked around using a macro. I have been toying with a sound that uses filter serializing, but in some situations while playing the second filter including the modulated panning and volume should be switched off for expressive playing.
I disagree.
I think it would be a limitation, if you could’nt send an OSC signal through uneffected by filtering.
The Filter Bypass buttons can’t be controlled by a Macro, but by direct midi CC like other parameters can.
The seriel-parallel knobcan be controlled by a Macro. And a Macro can be used if other parameters need to be affected at the same time.
