[Feature Request]Rackmounting options for AudioFuse x8 etc

I currently have a AF 16Rig Mounted in my Rack and got a set of AudioFuse x8 Coming my way to expand …

However the thing I wondered about is the Rackmounting and while it’s straight forward when having an even number of them, but it be comes more complicated when for example you have two AudioFuse x8 IN and one AudioFuse x8 OUT …
it surprises me that Arturia did not think about this situation when releasing the AudioFuse x8 and till this day don’t have a solution for this
So the simple solution would be to make a blanking plate that can be attached to a AudioFuse x8 in the same way that you could connect a second AudioFuse x8 to it that than can allow a single unit to be mounted and have a plate for an other piece of gear that isn’t rack mountable or put some cables through ect ect …

while this is likely the most simple solution … it surprises me that till so far Arturia did not think of creating other devices that are in the same formfactor and could be used along side a AudioFuse x8 to make the two units function as one full size U1 rackmount unit

Think of simple stuff like a Headphone Amp or A Mic Pre Amp or even a Midi interface … hell maybe even a small patchbay …
Now I am pretty sure the community over here can come up with some other stuff as well

But the main thing about this is that it’s been like 2 years since the AudioFuse x8 were released and while you have a nice system of putting two of them together to make one full size U1 rackmount unit I would have expected there to be more devices coming in this same formfactor to complement these (including a blank plate version for those that might need it) …

I hope you all agree and that this might provide some Future products ideas to expand on this

Also Make a plate for your PSU’s so that they can hook up with a IEC C8 Socket so we can use a cable with a IEC C7 connector on it and not have are powerstrip filled up with these bricks that for some reason always cover an other poweroutlet

I’ve just changed your post to a ‘feature request’ as that’s basically what it is, so it will be more likely to be seen by Arturia Staff.

Meanwhile… i used to have an RME Multiface II before my current interface, which was 1u half rack sized.

I used something very similar to THIS to mount it, and a little Symetrix half rack compressor in the same space.
Not as pretty as ‘proper’ rack ears i know, but it did do the job well.

Yeah I am aware of the Existence of these of these … However the point is that Arturia made these units this way and that makes me think about how this design can be used for other products but also how you could still add ‘proper’ rack ears to these when having an uneven number of these Units

Also note that the form-factor does provide a nice options for other devices that people might want to use along side their Audio Interface and these Units

Oh i take your point entirely!
I do not work for Arturia and they’re pretty cool about us having our own opinions, i do agree that possibly a more ‘modular’ approach would work for mixing and matching those units, as would longer rack ears for mounting a unit in a full 1U space.
I had the same issue with my old Multiface II and never found anything commercially available that was better than that rack tray i linked to.
