[Feature Request] Noise Utility Custom Samples

Sorry, I tried to find a previous post on this subject matter, but I can’t seem to see any. I know I’m probably about the 100th guy to ask this, but…

Is it possible to add Custom Samples for the Noise Utility?!?!

You cannot add them from within Pigments as you can with samples in the Sample Engine. However, you can add them in your File manager ie create a folder eg User, add the samples and they will be available when you restart Pigments. I am on a mac and the Utility Engine noises are stored in Library/Arturia/Samples/Pigments/Factory/__Noises. Windows will probably follow a similar path.

It would make sense if this were possible in the interface - maybe a feature request?

Yeah, I have discovered this workaround myself, not long after posting this thread. I’ve tried all sorts of things with folder aliases/shortcuts and symbolic links, none of it would work. Samples have to physically be inside the __Noises folder, sadly

It’ll be simple enough to add the feature, so I don’t know why they just don’t do it. As it’s actually a little “dangerous” adding our stuff in with theirs. it’s entirely possible a simple update or reinstall could delete them altogether. That said, we just need to make sure we keep a backup copy somewhere safe.

I agree - perhaps some kind Moderator will amend the title to Feature Request
