[Feature Request] MIDI Control Center improvements for keystep mk2

There’s a few features that were present in the MK1 versions of the keystep that aren’t available for the MK2. They seem like low-hanging fruit and would be great improvements to have. These are specific to the MCC but would be nice to be able to do from the device as well at some point.

In the MIDI Control Center software:

  1. Sequence piano roll editor - this was available for the MK1 and made creating/editing sequences convenient. Having to manage 64 sequences but not being able to see the actual notes without running the sequence is counter-productive.

  2. Assignable MIDI CC for pedal input. I want to be able to assign the expression pedal to a different CC because my hands may tied up and having additional control via pedal would be amazing. I believe this feature was available with the MK1.

  3. Customizable labels for the MIDI CC knobs. It’s great that we have 4 banks of assignable knobs but it’s a pain trying to remember what knob controls what parameter just based off of the MIDI CC.

  4. It would be nice to have some control over what kind of data is sent from the assignable knobs. For example, I’d like to have a knob mapped to send program change messages (0-127) so that I can browse patches while the sequence plays. I know I can set the bank/program change message on a sequence level but it’s not the same as being able to freely browse without having the sequencer active. It would also be nice to potentially set ranges for the knobs so that a knob could function as an on/off switch.

I hope these requests can make it to the team for consideration because they would be easy to implement and would be large quality of life improvements when using the Keystep.
