[Feature Request]: Let Analog Lab, not Komplete Kontrol, be the browser for NKS content

Arturia, first, a compliment. In my experience, no one else in this space does software usability and hardware/software integration as well as you do. Analog Lab is, in my opinion, simply a better user experience than anything else out there, including Native Instruments’ own Komplete Kontrol.

That is exactly why I want to suggest a change to the NKS integration you shipped in May 2025 for KeyLab MK3, KeyLab Essential MK3, and MiniLab 3.

Right now, that integration lets Arturia hardware navigate Komplete Kontrol, using the browse knob, encoders, and pads to move around inside NI’s software. But the actual browsing and loading still happens in Komplete Kontrol’s interface. In my opinion, that software is clunkier and slower to use than Analog Lab.

My suggestion: let users do that browsing inside Analog Lab instead. Users should be able to search, preview, and load Native Instruments content the same way they already do with every Arturia instrument, all from within Analog Lab, without needing to open Komplete Kontrol at all.

I understand this is a bigger technical ask than hardware navigation, since NKS’s preset and tagging layer belongs to Native Instruments. Given some recent uncertainty around Native Instruments’ financial stability, a strong, independent Analog Lab host would also make Arturia hardware and software a safer bet for customers going forward.

Would love to hear if this has been discussed, and if there are technical hurdles on the NI side that make it impossible.

NKS is Native Instruments’ own ecosystem, and our KeyLab integration is about allowing the hardware to work within that environment. Analog Lab is designed as the browser for Arturia instruments and content, and it cannot work as a host/browser for third-party libraries.

So supporting NKS directly inside Analog Lab would be a much broader architectural and ecosystem change, rather than an extension of the existing KeyLab NKS integration. We appreciate that you are enjoying Analog Lab though!
