Hi there, I wish MiniFreak V could add a mode that disable(or reduce the rendering quality of) its sound engine but meanwhile still provide the same controls to the hardware MiniFreak. The reason is that when I work with MiniFreak together with MiniFreak V, only one of them is the sound source I need. Sometimes I use hardware to control the software which is perfectly fine and they work seamlessly, I’m super satisfied with that.
But when it comes to the time I’m using hardware and let MiniFreak V control it, I’ll have to manage the system resources carefully as the CPU load of this plugin is pretty noticable. The current problem is, since as mentioned before, only one of the sound will be the one I need, the other will be muted. When I’m actually recording the hardware with software on, the CPU resources that it use to calculate the sound is actually wasted(though, sometimes I find it’s excellent that I can pan one to the left and the other to the right, so I’m like having two same instances together doing different things which is cool, but I can instead route audio in order to achieve a similar result but with significantly less CPU usage).
Anyway. I wish Arturia can add a feature to only let MiniFreak V be a controller type of thing like PolyBrute connect or give user options to adjust rendering quality like some other software synths, so we don’t need to worry about high CPU usage while using multiple instances of MiniFreak V in a project for preset recalling or something like that.
Thanks.
