Mellotron V is great at what it does, but there are a few things that it does not seem to offer in terms of a “pure” hardware emulation (unless I have missed something). These would make really great additions to it in a future version. I have broken them down into multiple requests so that people can comment individually on them:
Option to have the “tape rewind” behaviour of the real hardware, so that when a note is released, the “tape” rewinds at the appropriate rate (maybe even with a tension control) and, if the note if pressed before rewind completes, the playback starts from that point on the tape rather than the start of the sample.
