Implementing a power-saving mode could be beneficial, both for energy efficiency and for extending the lifespan of the Astrolab LEDs. This mode could be user-configurable, allowing the user to enable or disable it and set the timeout period (e.g., 10, 20, or 30 minutes) between the last key press and the activation of the power-saving mode. Once this period of inactivity has elapsed, all LEDs and the display could turn off until another key is pressed.
