Hello there!
In some use cases, the first Pad Bank is not used at all, it’d be great if one could do some customization on the DAW mode, like having both Pad Bank A and B triggering notes (so the range of notes is bigger, currently it’s not possible to play the upper 8 parts of a drum rack in Ableton, i.e.).
As well as the knobs being able to send Relative CC.
I know that it’s possible to create User Programs, but what’s the point on having such beautiful knob integration on the Ableton DAW mode if it’s not possible to customize it
HI @adrianskerbage and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!
We’ll keep this marked up for you so are team are aware of it.
HTH!
Ps,
Please make sure to subscribe to our Newsletter to be the first to know about the latest from Arturia.
Something that might be helpful in the interim:
if you use the midi chart
You can click on the encoder, knob or fader you want, and simply replace the value with the one from the center column. This works for almost everything, allowing you to get the cool DAW controls like global knobs and faders, in a user template.
HOWEVER:
The transport controls don’t work!
The reason seems to be that in user mode (not in arturia or DAW), holding shift and pressing the transport buttons doesn’t actually send CH 1 CC 107, etc. as expected.
in fact, the only thing it sends is:
PLAY pad:
In: FA | Ch 0
STOP pad:
In: FC | Ch 0.
The others do nothing.
Seems something is broken in the way the unit sends these particular pad messages.
Hope they fix this ASAP
Nice! Thank you, this helps a lot in the meantime.
