when I working with Synthx, the GUI is too not for eyes. The color lights inside knobs are barely visible, also I am not allways sure for first time what belongs to A and B synth, when knobs are in default. Isn’t will be better to paint frames to A and B color instead knobs and lights? It will be much more recognisable with that design. I provide a picture what I mean.
(it doesn’t have to be exactly like this when knobs and buttons are affected with color, but the main things are the rectangles. Also slightly color inside rectangle can help)
Thank you for the feedback! We worked very hard to make those layers as easy to differentiate as possible, but I understand your point, and it’s something we’ll definitely consider.
The reason we don’t change every knob and button is that it would make the installer, install size and RAM usage higher, as we would need to double up on all the images that make up these controls: Designing the interface in 3D means that each interface element needs its own set of images, whilst the images for the LED light - which are recessed in the interface - can be reused across the whole interface, and the Mod Ring colour is generated in software (and therefore carries virtually no computer resource cost).
UX (User Experience) is something we care about deeply, and we spent a long time refining the interaction between layers to make sure it would be as easy to use, and as beautiful, as an emulation of the incredible Synthex deserved to be.
