[Feature Request] Auto-detect Macro Fader Labels in Pigments

I found myself wanting the knobs to reflect what the macro’s are in Pigments. For instance, in one patch they are RING, PAD, RESIDUAL NOISE and SPACE. But the knobs just say MACRO 1, MACRO 2, MACRO 3, MACRO 4.

Small issue but nonetheless if it’s something that can be thrown into a firmware update, that would be sweet!

Thanks.

one would think that would be part of pigments to pass the control label to the keylab. but I am all for getting complete label names

This would probably more likely to be a feature request of Pigments. As you know, in Pigments you can rename the macro knobs to anything.

However, open up your DAW and load an instance of Pigments with a preset that has renamed macros, and you list the automatable parameters of Pigments, in your DAW, the names that you’ve given those macro knobs do not show up in that list. They just show up as Macro1, Macro2, Macro3 and Macro4. This happens in Cakewalk by Bandlab.

I know Cakewalk by Bandlab can display the names if they were present. For example, with Native Instruments, Massive X you can rename their macro knobs as well. In Cakewalk by Bandlab, the names that you’ve given those macro knobs in Massive X do indeed show up in the list of automatable parameters.

So I believe this is actually a Pigments issue.

It would be nice if I didn’t have to faff about in my DAW though, since this feature works with every other Arturia plugin, it would be nice to have it in Pigments as well so hopefully a dev see’s this little post and it’s not to difficult to implement into the next firmware update.
